****What I Wore****

Yesterday officially started my vacation.....

And this is what I wore.  My plan was to not leave the house from 8/7/2010 thru 8/13/2010 but I've already managed to screw it up.  I wanted to really work on pieces for NaughtyBaubles and getting organized with my blog and I felt I had to lock myself up and just focus.  Unfortunately I just had to break free...a true rebel at heart....and at least feel sunlight. I had to go to the grocery store to pick up some things for dinner and then I just rode around for awhile.  It was such a great day outside...not to humid with a slight breeze....and I just wanted to enjoy it.  Came back home in the evening, picked up, started making dinner which was penne pomodoro with meat sauce and garlic Parmesan french bread....penne with a meat sauce and french bread really....washed my hair and began prepping for new blog posts that you will be seeing later on today. 

So all in all not a very exciting day...story of my life most days...

Anywho....on to the outfit.  I wore my black James Perse maxi.  It has two layers, is super long and super thin.  Even in a relatively humid day you can still wear this, however it is slightly too big now so I had to belt it.  During the summer I tend to eat lighter...lots of fruit and veggies and fish....with cheat days on the weekends plus with the fact that any day can become a beach day I try my best to do Pilate's at least a few times a week so not only did the dress fit a lil different but my waist belt as well.  To help prevent my belt from moving around I gathered the side of the dress creating a really cool draping effect and tucked it under the belt.  It took me a while and I had to put a safety pin underneath to keep it there but I really liked the effect.  I wore my favorite strappy flats right now that I got from F21 for $13 and my current go-to bag that my mom bought me a while back.  I'm really into slouchy bags that are big enough to hold my life and this one is perfect.  I have no idea where she got it and when I asked her recently she couldn't even remember but moving on....I put my hair up into a messy bun.....a definite go to hairstyle of mine...and threw on my favorite necklace.  I originally made one for NaughtyBaubles and found myself wanting to wear it with all my outfits so I had to run out and buy more supplies so I could have one too.  Its such a statement piece and adds just the right amount of interest to any simple outfit.  If you are interested in the other one I have it for sale at here plus all my other designs.
