I'm not a fan of spiders or any insect really but for some reason I do have a sort of soft spot for the other horror movie favorite...snakes.  Now that is not to say that when I see a black mamba cross my path I will pick it up like I would a bunny or adorable kitten, rather my admiration is something felt with much distance and possibly glass barricade but it is admiration none the less.  

Why all the reptilian love?  Well, my new purchase of course but you'll have to wait till tomorrow for that.  For now enjoy the inspiration....

****In White Light - Style Inspiration****

So I have this adorable white dress I got from Aerie that has only seen the light of day (well rather night) once.  I wore out to a club on New Years Eve many years ago (actually 5 but whatever) and I haven't worn it since.  I refuse to get rid of it despite its overt girly attitude that screams through the whipped ruffled layers because I  love its semi-sheerness and, after removing some of its length, its slightly above mid thigh hem.  I keep looking at it in my closet with extreme intent on wearing it but it never happens.  I guess this post is for the dress and hopefully it is the right amount of inspiration to finally just throw the damn dress on...

How many dresses or tops live in your closet like my white dress?  Yearning to be worn out anywhere but bought for reasons besides function.....

Clearly these two ladies were cut from the same fashionable cloth and although the speculation as to who wore it first is out there, I personally just can't get enough of it. Thankfully, recreating the look is about as effortless as the look itself. 

Which brings me to some of my recent obsessions on Nasty Gal..

Killer shoes, distressed anything and sheerness.....my spring 2012 want list
