I'm pretty sure this is the last outfit snapshots from my vacation but either way as I was editing some photos of new products to be listed I came across these and decided to share. I absolutely love the splatter print and the ease of the dress. My favorite piece right now is this oversized sheer white button down and I'm pretty sure it was this dress that partially started the obsession. I snagged this bad boy right before we left at my job for only $20 and that was before my discount making it a great find. I plan on wearing it all the way through Fall by adding a layer or two for the cooler temps and some tights.

****Python Print and Fringe - What I Wore****
![]() |
| TANK TOP - H&M, SNAKESKIN SHORTS - RACHEL Rachel Roy (Similar HERE ), FRINGE BOOTS - Steve Madden (Find HERE), JEWELRY - Naughty Baubles and Vintage |
And yes, these are the RACHEL Rachel Roy shorts that inspired my last post. I'm guessing they weren't meant to be worn so high up on the waist but right not just about everything I wear needs to be highwaisted so with the gentle touch of a safety pin neatly concealed on the side, I managed to pin them to my liking. Although some would have moved me away from a purchase that required a bit of adjusting in order for me to like them, the price was way to good to pass up coming in at almost 75% off. Paired simply with black top, a necklace, quartz ring and bracelet I made a little while ago and a vintage gold and ivory cuff given to me by mom I had the perfect look for the humid weekend. Oh and we can't forget my new favorite boots. Another great deal I couldn't pass up.
Hope everyone had a great 4th of July and here's to the up coming weekend.
P.S. And speaking of RACHEL Rachel Roy, lets all congratulate Black Asphodel who was the winner of my handbag giveaway!!!!

****In Other News - What I Wore****
Mens Button Down - Denim & Supply, Tshirt- Forever 21, Shorts - Forever 21, Boots - Steve Madden(On Sale Now for $60)
A quick, rather exciting update.....I'M ENGAGED!!!!!
After almost 9 amazing years my boyfriend proposed and of course I said yes. I'm in complete wedding inspiration mode and my Pinterest account is getting lots of play right now. While for now I will continue to pin anything of interest, I am contemplating creating a new blog but we'll see. It has really surprised me how excited this step is making me....not that it shouldn't but being that I have never planned a party for anything I am all open arms with this large task.
And in other news, I went a little button down crazy after making my shredded denim one that I love and picked up some great alternatives. So easy to wear and they are the perfect spring jacket alternative from wearing it with a cute dress to using it as a beach cover up. This one I'm wearing here is now on sale if you're interested and I found my boots also on sale in blue, the color I originally wanted but couldn't get in my size. Just click on the link in the outfit description to check 'em out.
Hope you had a great weekend!!!

| Sweater - I Heart Ronson (J C Penny), Scarf - H&M, Denim Leggings - Forever 21, Boots - Steve Madden, Bracelet - Naughty Baubles |
This the last week of work before vacation and I can already feel my anxiety levels rise. I just want it to fly by so I can get back to a relaxed state I only have dreams of now. Work has a way of taking you from your happy place so to speak....unless that is you have the job you've always dreamed about and in that case I ENVY YOU....LOL
Happy Sunday and see you next post....

****If I Were A Machine...****
....I'd be about as rusty as "Mimsie" my Subaru. I don't get manicures, I couldn't bear allowing someone to touch my feet (I'm insanely ticklish), my job is about as brutal on my skin as an hour spent in an arctic climate and I on average visit the salon once a year. Well, after the holiday season came to an end I finally managed to get off my ass and take myself in for some routine maintenance. Me and my mom drove ourselves through the second snow storm of the season a weekend or two ago in one hilariously slippy ride to our joint appointment. I enjoyed a nice glass of wine, got my hair relaxed and chopped off a few inches. Also squeezed in a quick eyebrow taming. Once we got back home I ran and grabbed a slew of much needed beauty essentials, gave myself a manicure (yeah despite the clearer mind thanks to the groomed hair my new outlook did not lead me to a manicurist...lol) and when I returned to work on Monday I felt like a completely new person. But as usual that only lasted about a day and once thrown back into my regular schedule my ends look as ratty as a shaggy coat on a stray dog, my nails are once again jagged and uneven and although my skin is more moisturized and softer than normal, its back to feeling dry and itchy. Now I don't even feel like I had the beauty and I am beginning to wonder why I don't stay on top of important things such as keeping my hands from feeling like Brillo pads.
Any who, I wore this out over the weekend as it was unseasonably warm. I have been living in this sweater from Express ever since I got it and was really made to see that they did not have it in any other color left. I also discovered that my shorts fit a bit more snug than usual so I have once again started Pilates and Yoga. I would love to take classes at a studio but am currently so appreciative of the multitude of lessons for free thanks to On Demand. Nothing beats being twisted into uncomfortable positions or making awkward, I can't believe this bitch on tv isn't sweating after this 45min long lesson face while in the comforts of your own living room.

****It's Okay, You Can Tell Me....****
....That I've been shopping a bit more than usual but I blame it on the great sales......
-Lucky Brand Boots - $30 (down from $139)
-Snakeskin Pumps - $15 (down from $100)
-Distressed Black Denim & Supply Jeans - FREE thanks to a gift card!!!!!!
-Patchwork Denim& Supply Jeans - $30 (down from $198)
-H&M Sheer Bird Print Top - $13
-H&M Orange Mini Skirt - $6Hope your Christmas was awesome and you got exactly what you wanted. I know I asked Santa for sleep and I got that plus my all time favorite perfume Flowerbomb. Other than that I just spent the days off in between my hectic work schedule with family and tons of food. I am pretty sure I will be wearing the bird top and orange skirt for New Years Eve. Every year I get fanatic about what to wear and end up spending the whole day looking for items that only exist in my head and by the time we get ready to head out I am exhausted. That coupled with a few drinks leads to me looking for a dark corner to power nap in so I'm gonna make it easy. All I need to finish the look is a pair of navy blue socks and gold stappy heels.
And yes I will be freezing my ass off upon entry to the club but its the price with Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon off I will have enough time to nurse my cold....lol

***I Can't Live Without...****
![]() |
| Sweater-H&M, Hat-Simply Vera(Kohls), Sequin Tank-MM Couture, Shorts-XXI, Boots-Steve Madden, Scarf-H&M, Ring-DIY, Bracelet-DIY |
Things I currently can't live without:
- My slouchy knit hat....literally I've worn it so much over the last couple of years that it is beginning to fall apart but unfortnately the Simply Vera line at Kohls hasn't restocked this baby since so...
- My high waisted denim shorts
- My super long and soft scarf
- My large ram head DIY ring
- The super adorable kitten trio that was just recently introduced into my neighborhood. The mother is deathly afraid of people making it even more difficult to pet the kittens but me and boyfriend have been slipping them tuna every once in awhile so hopefully they see us as a friend and I can hold one. I really would love to see the whole family in a great home (we can't have pets in our complex and my boyfriend is slightly allergic so I can't take them in) but many of the shelters in the area aren't accepting adult cats and I would never break up the family. I just check up on them everyday and make sure they are doing well. I will definitely snap some pictures soon to show you :)
- The smell of fall in my hair...crisp, clean and fresh
- Saving the best for last my boyfriend. Shared a great mini back road trip with him yesterday which is our favorite thing to do and it was just what I needed...down time with my best friend
Hope everyone had a great weekend and is currently cozied up and resting in preparation for another long week. I am currently enjoying my Black Friday steal of a coffee pot that was only $7 after my discount. Although it makes 12 cups we still find ourselves needing more by the afternoon which is probably not the best thing but oh well. New DIY posts coming this week and don't forget to check out the SHOP NAUGHTY AND SAVE happening on my Etsy shop.
See ya next post...

****Second Time Around****
I've always loved this coat. It's former home was with my Grandma and when she finally passed it down I was thrilled up until the moment we realized it was a tad to big. I took it to seamstress who gave me the run around and afraid to watch it get butchered for nothing I decided it would be best to leave it as is and try to sell it. Well that was years ago and it has never once came close to an Etsy listing. Seeing it again buried behind all my boyfriends outerwear renewed our love affair and I can officially say its here to say...oversized and all
